The Rev’d Christopher Omohwo Efekodo Ofunaba was born into the families of Late Mr David Efekodo Ofunaba of Imodje Orogun and Akpoveroro of Edjeba Agbarha Otor both in Ughelli North LGA of Delta State.
He started his Ministry as a Church Teacher at St John’s Church, Urhuagbesa in Abraka in the then Agbon Archdeaconry in the year 2000. He attended the prestigious Adam Igbudu Christian Centre (now Institute) from 2001 -2003.
Rev’d Canon Christopher O E Ofunaba attended Ekure Primary school, Imodje Orogun, Eleyele Grammar School, Ibadan, Orogun Grammar School, Orogun, Ibru College, Agbarha Otor, where he obtained his School Leaving Certificate. Trinity Theological College, Umuahia and Delta State university, Abraka for his Masters in Philosophy of Religion.
He was ordained Deacon in 2009, Priested in 2010, Preferred Canon on Thursday, 26th September, 2024 all by his lordship, Rt Rev C E Ide JP.
Canon Christopher is a Child of God, who believes in fairness and equity. His desire is for everyone to be saved, hence, his love for soul winning and Evangelism. This is encapsulated in his Christocentric Preaching and Teaching of the undiluted Word of God. He is passionate about Church building and Total Gospel of Salvation and Welfarism. He is a Promoter of God’s Kingdom
